the girl behind the hair…

Brides to be, I'm Charlotte!

A massive lover of ALL things wedding related. This all started after I married my dream man 4 years ago.

That's us on our wedding day, more youthful and the odd few stone lighter but who's counting? Wedding diets are unobtainable anyway...right?!

I originally started out as a colouring & cutting stylist where I did all of this in my own salon. Bridal hair was my favourite sideline to the job, but one i was never able to fully focus on. My Saturdays would always be booked so far in advance with regular hairdressing clients, that I only got to work with a handful of brides per year.
So when I got married myself it really sparked something inside of me - why couldn’t I spend every weekend doing what I really adore - creating beautiful hair for a tribe of amazing women ready to say 'I do'.

If you've never had the privilege of being a bridesmaid or part of a wedding morning yourself let me tell you how it goes....
First: the mandatory Beyoncé playlist. The atmosphere is absolutely electric. How do I describe this? It’s like getting ready for a night out x 100. Imagine having all your best girls come over to get ready. Fancy champagne, ultimate Spotify playlist, maximum preening to perfection. Except there’s a pro photographer who can hit all your best angles, a pro hairstylist on hand making sure you’re having the best of good hair days, oh - and a wedding at the end of it! Basically, wedding mornings are just so ridiculously magical and the part i get to play in them is where my passion lies - right with my brides & that's something you can't be taught. You just have to have that fire inside that makes you want to go above & beyond for each and every bride, and that's exactly what I do.

In December 17' in front of the Christmas tree at home I gave birth to my new best gal pal Florence Isobelle. It's been the biggest whirlwind ever since & I'm sure by her 1st birthday she'll have learnt how to perfect a fishtail braid? No?
So many people told me how much I'd love maternity leave and how I'd never ever want to return to work. As much as I love my Friday fizz with my mum pals, when you adore what you do you can't imagine yourself doing anything else.
This isn't just my job, it's my passion - it sounds cheesy but here I am baring all. I'll spend my evenings creating mood boards on Pinterest (just ask my husband) or in my spare time collaborating with other wedding suppliers on styled shoots. Don't panic,I still have a life outside of all of this (I promise). When I'm not working you'll find me spending time with my favourite people.

For the 9 years that me & my husband have been together we've been ridiculously lucky to have travelled to some incredible places. Christmases in New York & summers filled with mini breaks & sunshine holidays. Memories are everything, as are espresso martinis, lazy Sunday mornings with my little family and bloody great food.
